Registration Vikatos Spyros
(1878-1960)
Biography
Vikatos Spyros was born in Argostoli in 1878. He studied art from 1896 to 1898 at the Athens School of Art on a scholarship awarded by Metripolitan Germanos of Athens. He obtained a schoparship and continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1900 to 1906.He returned to Athens in 1906 and from 1909 to 1939 he taught at the School of Fine Arts. In 1951 he was elected honorary professor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Munich. He died in Athens in 1960.
