Description
This painting «Portrait» depicts an old woman, with her head turned to the viewer and her look being blank. The composition is attributed with dark shades. The painting is lighted up by the delicate, white touches that stick up under the scarf of the woman. Moreover, the most wide touches manage to give a plasticity to the whole project. The depiction of the elderly is very common in Vikatos paintings and symbolizes the experience and the wisdom of life.
