Description
The portrait of the girl, has the same context with the painting «Little Tyrolese» (Catalog No. 59). Also in this painting of the artist we can see the strong dark background, which contrasts with the bright face of the young girl. Vikato's artistic skill is distinguished in the use of color, especially in the point of the transition from the black hair of the girl to the depth of the composition. The monotony of the dark color, is "breaking" by the red color of the garment and the ribbon.
