Biography
"Nikolaos Lytras was born in Athens in 1883. He was first taught painting by his father, Nikiforos Lytras, and continued his studies at the School of Fine Arts from 1900 to 1903. In 1907on a scholarship from the Panhellenic Foundation of the Evangelistria ofTinos,he went to Munich and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1911 he returned to Greece and settled in Athens.In 1923 he was unanimously elected professor of the School of Fine Arts. He died in 1927."
