Registration Maleas Constantinos
(1879-1928)
Biography
"Constantinos Maleas was born in Constatinople in 1879. He attended painting lessons at the Great School of the Nation. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Constatinople . In 1901 he went to Paris and studied painting at the School of Decorative Arts until 1907. After returning to Constatinople, he travelled around the world in order to paint. In 1917 he came to Athens and was appointed Director of the Museum of Folk Handicrafts. He died in Athens in 1928."
