Municipality of Larissa
Description
The painting consists of five levels. The first level shows a sandy soil with openings on the left and the right which have water. In the third level an horizontal blue strip indicates the river. Behind the river and in the fourth level, an oasis of trees and plants is depicted. The sky and the mountains are distinguished in the background. The introduction of the viewer to the depth of the painting is succeded by the progress of the land which forms crooked lines. The painter does not pay any attention in the detail but he cares for the placement of the color and the creation of a pure form through it.
