Description
With bigger freedom in the use of colour, that does not describe the optical reality, three hardly lodges are placed in the first plan of the mountainous landscape. Wide surfaces of dark green hues, that are interrupted by few of lightcoloured ones, surround the small settlement intensifying the sense of its isolation. The mountains in the depth are dyed in the shades of pink and orange and the sky remains in the familiar light blue colour. And this painting, with the intensely antinaturalistic use of colour, reveals the effect of Fauvistic practice on the painter
