Description
This work belongs to the artist's category which records with documents scenes of the military life from the front of Thessaly in 1897. The wounded of the war are squeezed into the station. The bodies of the soldiers are depicted generalized with the color, and are disorderly dispersed in the space-the tonality is low and dark and only at the background the color becomes brighter. All these testify the artist's effort to depart from the use of types of academical point of view and to negotiate the light and color with impressionistic disposal.
