Biography
"Georgios Roilos was born in Stemnitsa of Arcadia in 1867. As a young man,Roilos was apprenticed to a proffesional wood engraver in Athens. He studied painting at the School of Arts in Athens from 1880 to 1887. In 1888 he received a scholarship from the Kritskis Foundation and went to study for one year in Munich.One year later he went to study at the Julien Academy in Paris until 1894 at which time he returned to Greece.He became professor at the School of Fine Arts and died in Athens in 1928."
