Municipality of Larissa
Description
The painting reflects a combination between ithographical scene and landscape. A female figure, probably a farmer, appears at the first level but beyond her the countryside plays a dominant role. The chosen design highlights the vastness of the landscape, while the color and the light in particular are the two elements that have a priority. The heavy, dark colors are abandoned and the subtle colour graduations take their place. The ethographical details (a farmer with textile material, domesticated birds) are tied in harmony with the details of the landscape (farming house).
