Description
Apart from the painting Gioldasis engaged occasionally also with engraving mainly in the first stages of his artistic course. The structure of composition in thi engraving reminds the usual organisation of works of painting by the artist, where the main subject that is developed in the first level, functions as a pretext so that the rich Thessalian ground, the mountains and her plains are attributed. Here as well, the effort of villagers to stabilise their wooden boat in the waters of the river is framed by the splendid natural setting that is attributed with acute observation by Gioldasi.
