Description
The "bullfighter", constitutes a composition that ismostly based on the imaginary. From the above left corner of the painting, the bull that is attributed with black colour attacks the bullfighter. The sword and blood in on part of his neck testify that he had been struck a bit earlier. The bullfighter has fallen on t o his red cloth that was useful to him in order to challenge his perpetrator. The composition is free and it creates the impression that it is about nightmare. Vakalo portrays only the essential in order to complete the representation. The bullfighter's body remains semifinished, as the bull. On the right, a red eye looks like it's observing everything that is happening,an element that gives the sense of mystery, but also gives the composition an enigmatic content.
