Municipality of Larissa
Description
The main point of the painting is a group of women who wash their clothes in a village spring. Women are placed diagonally helping in that way the development of the area, on the basis of linear perspective.However, the figures are roughly designed with color and there is not any attempt to render descriptive or individual characteristics. The impressionistic disposal of the project is perceived through the artist's effort to render the atmospherical element. The forms are dissolved in clear colored surfaces while bright spots in tones of pink and yellow "break" the cold bluish tonality of the total.
