Municipality of Larissa
Description
In this painting the water covers all the front and the middle level of the picture, while a boat with the boatman standing and a department of a sailing are distinguished at the far right side of the painting. The pier of the harbor and some buildings of Spetses are pictured in the background in such a way that with their verticality "break" the horizontal development of the picture. The colour processing is impressionist type, trying to give a specific time of day and the reflections on the surface of the sea, while the absolute serenity stimulates the romantic disposal and the reverie.
