Description
This painting shows a young woman in profile with intense outlines.The woman is illuminated on the left, having her back turned. In this way her face remains in the shadow and the harmonic characteristics of the face and the melancholic expression of the deep shade of her grooved eyes are hardly depicted in the picture. The tall,elegant neck, the short, nice brushed hair tied with a ribbon, the emerald dress on the shoulders give aristrocratic appearence to the female figure. A champaign with bright colors in the first level leads to a series of trees in the background.
