Description
The small church in the first level is displayed in a bucolic environment with a perfectly controlled color range, which contrasts with the second level of the far landscape. The serenity dominates: animals graze in their natural space, the rainbow shows that a rain was preceded and after that the serenity came. The human presence is not able at this time. The artist has approached the issue with all his naturalist disposal. The vertical lines of the trees are in contrast with the prevailing horizontal. The forest,which has been designed with sufficient freedom, is one of the most interesting points of the painting.
