Description
The experiential character of landscapes of the Nile is given, since the artist lived for sever continual years in Alexandria. In the particular work of the Katsigra Collection, the river with the graphic subject of shallop that crosses its waters, is pushed back to the background of the representation. Impressive is the almost expressionistic use of colour that is placed with quick pasty brushstroke.
