Municipality of Larissa
Description
A woman seated in a tall chair is studying some scores located in the overhang of a huge column. She is located near an opening of an external undefined space, turning her back upon the viewer and her profile can hardly be distinguished. Her clothing with the long dress, the shawl, the elegant blue pumps and the carefully fixed bun signify her aristocratic position. The nostalgic atmosphere is enhanced by the use of darkish colors, which are placed with relative freedom and in contrast with the diffuse light of external space.
