Municipality of Larissa
Description
Two cypresses, as if they are part of a broader landscape composition,are isolated by the painter in order to be attributed as a separate issue. The painter focuses on them and depicts them descriptively enough to contrast with the confusing depiction of scrubs in the first level and the broad surface of mountains and sky in the background. The rapid and the short brushstrokes that show the bushiness environment, are followed by a more detailed depiction of tall, in contrast, trees. On the whole, the project constitutes the serene "face"of a mountainous Greek landscape.
