Description
This painting is a fragmentary picture of the Vouliagmeni lake. Only the lake covers occupies the first level and almost the half of the surface of the painting. The water is pictured with very dark color and above it a small hill rises.The reflecting point of the rocks at the lake is of particular interest . The composition is simple in structure:it is divided into two parts. Simplified forms and geometric schematizations are usued for the depiction of the rocks. The depiction remind us the true picture of the landscape - it is not certainly about realism, but there are similarities with this characteristic place of Vouliagmeni.
