Description

In this symbolistic painting, Gyzis depicts the Battle between the Glory and the Death. The Glory is depicted as a young girl on a lion. In the left hand she holds a laueate wreath, a symbol of victory. She is dressed in white and the light falls on her. The Death fallen to the ground is depicted as a skeleton holding in the hands a crashed sickle. The colors are dark with the exception of the white color which is the only source of light in the painting.
