Description
Dimas gives in this work a view of the rock of Acropolis, thus as it appears from the height of the pillars of Olympiou Dios. The drawing clarity and the fine chromatic syntax that is due to the discreet tones of ochre and grey, characterizes the representation. The imprinting ofthe most important perhaps point of the historical centre of Athens is related of course to the ideological searches of that time round the search of new "national" artistic identity.
