Registration Dimitris Katsikogiannis
(1915-1991)
Biography
"Dimitris Katsikogiannis was born in Karya , Olympus. An incitement by A,Averof who was fon of arts he went to Athens and started to attend drawing and sculpture lessons. Later he studied sculpture at the department of Fine Arts from 1934 -1939. In 1939 with assistance by K.Dimitradis he got a scholarship from the French Faculty of Sculpture for Paris which he changed to a foreign scholarship. He spent 13 years imprisoned and never stopped painting and working on plaster models,He was set free in 1961 and died in Athens in 1991."
