Description
The specific bifoliate is based on the "Anthem to the Freedom " by Dionysios Solomos. He uses symbolism in order to portray the extract. The feminin figure that stands with her sword above the grave symbolizes Freedom. While the dead man, all the Greeks that fought for her. The composition follows the Byzantine models and reminds intensely of the Byzantine manuscripts. Two dimension output, absence of prospect, intense modelling of the faces and stylished folding of the clothing.
