Description
As the traditional song " of emigration" (Catalogue No 49) "blow my mistral" as well derives its theme from sailors' lives. Both portray the expectation of every woman for her husband's return. The representation has been attributed micrographicaly A woman standing on the balcony of her house. Vassileiou points out her house from everything else and enlarges it in order to emphasise the magnitude of her loneliness. . The composition follows the Byzantine models and reminds intensely the Byzantine manuscripts.Two dimension output absence of prospect,intense modelling on the faces and stylished folding on clothing.
