As the traditional song " blow my mistral" (Catalogue No 48) "of emigration" as well derives its theme from sailors' lives. Both portray the expectation of every woman for her husband's return. The representation has been attributed micrographicaly . A young girl pulls the screen that closes the entry of her house and looks at the rough sea that threatens to destroy a boat that approaches the land. The composition follows the Byzantine models and reminds intensely the Byzantine manuscripts.Two dimension output absence of prospect,intense modelling on the faces and stylished folding on clothing.The sea is attributed with a blue colour in combination with white lines that imply turbulence.In the sky curving lines are distinguished which symbolise strong wind.
