Description
In this composition a version of the Epitaph Lamentationis depicted , transported in modern reality. A crowd of women with their children them has been assembled in order to lament and mourn. The figures are organised in a compact circular cluster, that is developed however at length of level of unspecified space of mural perception. Apart from the usual for Sikeliotis outlining drawing of forms, we distinguish also the sovereignty of curve in the layout of volumes, and as a result the picture aquires a concrete rythm. The theatricality of expressions and gestures that are extended to the all directions, strengthens this rythm and deamatizes the whole..
