Description
This work by Vasso Katraki one of the most important women engravers, is carved in sandstone rock from Siteia , a material that favours the creation of the monumental element which the artist aspires to due to its stability and roughness. Additionally basic characteristics of her style , such as the anthropocentric repertoire, the expressionistic shaping and the absolute and the contrast of white and black are present here.
