Description
The subject of this particular work are the Souliotisses, the moment when according to tradition they fall from the rock of Zaloggos to the precipice in order not to get caught by the Turks. Iin deed one woman in the left end crashes already and the bending direction of her body disconnects her from the paratactic arrangement of the rest. The forms are inflexible, level and they are closed in intensely black outlines, while the lines in their costumes attribute in micrographic disposal various decorative details. The background is shallow and void from territorial indications, apart from their clean-cut shapings of ground.
