Description
This portrait is a representative sample of Mathiopoulos work. In a neutral white background there is a young boy wearing navy clothing. He looks directly the viewer.His body tends to become integrated with the surrounding environment. Just to the right there are bold dark brushstrokes that separate the clothes from the background of the painting.The major design capabilities of the artist and the effects that he was accepted by impressionism are distinct.
