Description
The four line verse that is portrayed is from a traditional song and refers to Crete. Vassileiou, based on Cretan tradition, portrays alyre player the moment he's playing his lyre and obviously singing the verses which are writen on the next page..The composition follows the Byzantine models and reminds intensely the Byzantine manuscripts.Two dimension output absence of prospect,intense modelling on the faces and stylished folding on clothing.A disproportion is noticeable concerning the attribution of the man and the buildings that surround him.
