Description
The subject of the painting is academic and particularly dear for the study of the still life was a common theme among painters. In this painting there is a table covered with a white tablecloth and over it quinces, pears, pomegranates, grapes and a pitcher have been placed. The background is black and in combination with the white tablecloth contribute to the better highlight of the pictures fruits. The representation is realistic as it can be seen clearly in the luster of the vessel. The illumination is diagonal from the left, as if there is an open window that illuminates the composition. Green, yellow, rhodium and white are the dominant colours.
