Municipality of Larissa
Description
On the table surface covered by silk tablecloth, arranged freely displayed some peaches and a platter full of strawberries. The painter deliberately seeks the synthetic variety, and fruit are presented in a frontal or side return creating a rhythmic whole. The design clarity and lean color scale shows the influence of Duke apprenticeship in Munich, while the free, general touch reflects Parisian influences.
