Description
In this specific picture the figure of a lyre player is depicted. It's a frontal sitting figure looking to the spectator. His arms are placed in front on the musical instrumentwhich is placed on his legs. The lyre player who is defined by an intense black outline , shows monumental and goes back to his basic architectural parts .His whole position reminds of a folk picture but we are not dealing with a simple moment of posing. The official and hieraticpsition of the figure shows it as if it is posing for a travelling photographer who finally captures it for eternity
