Description
"The scene of the Adoration of the Wizards is rendered with excellent minimallity. Gaspar kneels in front of the baby and offers a crown on a disk, as a gift while Balthazar and Melchior are distinguished to the right behind him . The Virgin Mary is represented upright at the left side with Christ in her arms and is surrounded by a vague indication of an arch. The figures are stylized and broken down into geometric shapes; curved in the surfaces forming the body of the Virgin, angular in the figures of the wizards. Apart from this fragmentation of the shapes, of special interest is the shading game that "activates" the entire composition.
