Description
In this work is depicted one of the starklier imposing snowy peaks of Mt. Olympus, which comes out of the hazy light of the sunset. The composition is defined by the bold diagonal that crosses the center of the scene and renders successfully the sharpness and the rough profile of the steep peak. The artistic color elaboration with the violet shades which are created by the short evening light on the white snow, will affect other artists who dealt with similar issues, including Dimitris Yoldassis.
