Description
The paintings «Woman on the door» and «At the oven» (Catalog No. 82), are both fine examples of the artist's work as they fit at the topic that the artist is interested in, namely the scenes of everyday life and the houses' interiors.It presents a woman sitting on a low stool and knitting. The daylight enlightens strongly her face. In front of her there is an open door and we can discern the bright stairways of the yard. The composition exudes a sense of serenity and calm. Finally, we should emphasize on the capture of the moment that creates the impression that Geralis faces the scene photografically.
