Description
The bridge of Pineios is one of the artist's favorite theme and for that reason he has elaborated in so many variations. In this specific work a large percentage of the area is destroyed because of the floods and its careless replacement by a wooden structure is noticeable. As for the structure of the composition the horizon is lowered something that allows a quite detailed attribution of the scene that surrounds the bridge.Women and childrem are enjoying their walk on the left side of the painting while three horses are quenching their thirst in the water of the river that crosses edge to edge the surface of the painting. on the top part of the bridge mobility is tense, People animals motorcycles go by quickly and the representation is completed by the groups of houses and the mountains in the background.
