Biography
"Celest Polychroniadis was born in 1904 in Athens. She studied music at the Conservatoire of Athens and painting initially with Charikleia Alexandridou Stefanopoulos, while in 1930 she left for Paris where she studied fresco, mosaic, ceramic, drawing and painting. In the capital of Paris she was introduced to modern art. In 1934 she returned to Greece and became artistic director of Gallery Studio. Later in1938 she was absorbedin painting. For ten years until 1953 she lived in the USA. She died in 1985 in Athens."
