Registration Moralis Yiannis
(1916-2009)
Biography
"Yannis Moralis was born in 1916 in Arta. He attended his first courses of painting at the Sunday lectures of the Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1931 he began his preparation for his admission to the ASKT. He studied at the University of Fine Arts painting and engraving. In 1936 with the scholarship from the academy of Athens he went to Rome where he did not stay long since he chose Paris. There he studied at the University of Fine Arts painting and mural, while he also took courses of mosaic. In 1939 he returned to Greece and in 1947 he became professor at the preparatory department of ASKT and from 1957 until 1983 professor at the laboratory of the same faculty. In 1962 he was elected full member of the International Institute of Letters and Arts."
